Repayments will come off your debit card automatically by Continuous Payment Authority.
For weekly repayments your first repayment will be collected between 7 and 13 days after your loan has been issued, on a day agreed with you during your application. The rest of your repayments will be collected on the same day each week until the end of your repayment term, even if this falls on a bank holiday. You'll always know when your payments will be. We'll never try to take a payment on a day that's not been agreed.

We offer Continuous Payment Authority repayments as it's a flexible choice for our customers. They're simple to set up, all you need is your debit card details and if your bank declines payment due to insufficient funds when we try to collect your repayment there are no charges.
We think it's important that customers know exactly when they'll make their payments and how much they'll be, so we agree with you upfront your repayment amount, the date of collection and your chosen card and this will never change unless you ask for it to. Once you've completed our simple online loan application and have been accepted for a loan between the hours of 6.00am to 11pm, the money will be transferred within the hour by Faster Payments.

As a responsible lender we need to make sure you can afford the loan and your repayments are manageable when you take out your loan. We do this by checking your income details as part of your credit check. Sometimes the income information we get back doesn't match so we allow you to send us your payslip or other proof of your income to help us process your loan. We will let you know if we need to verify your income during your application.
If we need to verify your income and can send a photocopy, word document, pdf file or picture of your proof of income to email@example.com. Please make sure we can see all of the document, that the details are clear and that it is dated within the last 30 days.

Your Satsuma Loan has been split with monthly or weekly repayment options to help make repaying your loan simple, however you can repay early if you want to and you may be entitled to a rebate.
If you would like to repay your loan early, please call our Customer Care Team on 0800 694 0004 who will let you know how much you need to pay and whether any rebate is due.
When you tell us that you want to settle your Satsuma Loan early, we will give you a settlement quote so you know how much you need to pay in total. This will be valid for 28 days. The amount you need to pay to settle your account will include interest calculated to cover this 28 day period in which the quote is valid. This amount is payable even where you settle the loan immediately. This is in accordance with the provisions of the Consumer Credit (Early Settlement) Regulations 2004.

A borrowing summary (or a summary of borrowing) is a way to show customers the cost of the money they have borrowed from a lender as well as how much they have paid in additional fees and charges for their loan/s. It provides details about the most recent loan as well as loan/s taken over the last 12 months.
We are required to provide you with this information so that you see how much the money you have borrowed in the last 12 months has cost you in interest payments. Providing this information should help you to make future borrowing decisions.
The summary reminds you how much you borrowed and then sets out how much that loan cost you in interest and, if you didn’t make payments on time or in full, whether the lender imposed any additional charges or fees on you as a result and how much these amounted to. Satsuma does not impose any additional fees and charges on our customers.
Additionally the summary will show whether you paid the loan off in full and on time or whether you missed any payments or paid less than the contracted amounts.
We are required to provide this information to you at certain points during the lifetime of your loan/s. These are: when you have completed all your loan repayments; should you stop making repayments and you receive a Notice of Default; if you’ve stopped making repayments and the debt is written off by us.
The summary will be made available on the within one working day of these trigger events usually via the MySatsuma page on our website. You will also be reminded of the availability of the summary when you next apply for a Satsuma loan if it is within 12 months of your last loan from us.
No – a borrowing summary is not available on demand. The information will be provided to you at certain points during the lifetime of your loan, if applicable. The summary will be available to view for the 12 months from the day of issue by logging into MySatsuma.
No. The summary is only made available to you though some of the information such as any missed or late repayments will be shared with credit reference agencies as part of our obligation to share such data.
A borrowing summary is only provided for loans taken out within the last 12 months. If you’ve had a loan within the last 12 months and haven’t received a borrowing summary, it may be that you haven’t reached any of the trigger points outlined here.
