They say time flies when you’re having fun.
So, say hello to Easter!
It’s another time in the year when loads of stuff is going on and you just don’t have the time to sort out what you’re doing over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Let us help you…
Egg-cellent for the family!
Grab your coats, your boots and let’s go for an Easter egg hunt! Wherever you are in the UK, there’s usually fun and games for the family just around the corner. If you’ve never been to a hunt like this before then why not give it a try? Get involved and see where your closest one is.
Take the scenic route
Just want to get out of the bubble and spend some quality family time together? Well, you can this weekend by going for a few walks in the beautiful countryside. Not only is it a healthier alternative, but it’s a great way to have a laugh, take a few family selfies and just have a bit of fun!
I’ve got a little festival for you…
If chocolate is your thing, then York is the place to be this Easter. Holding its very own chocolate festival, this picturesque city will offer you plenty of treats for you to try and buy. From eating the stuff to demos on how to make it, it won’t be a wasted trip to North Yorkshire. Even if you’re not too keen on chocolate, you can even slip by the Food Festival to tickle your taste buds.
Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside…
Oh, I do like to be beside the sea! Relive a bit of your childhood and get yourself to the seaside. We’re blessed with some stunning beaches if you look closely enough. And if you take the kids on the day trip too, there’s plenty to keep them happy like grabbing some fish and chips, playing the penny slot machines in the arcades or going on a donkey ride.
The Great Family Bake Off
Fancy yourself as the next Paul Hollywood? If you do, give baking a go over the Bank Holiday. There’s plenty of recipes for you to have a look at so try and make your favourite dessert. What’s your favourite? For me, there’s nothing nicer than a slice of chocolate fudge cake or a vanilla slice!
The Big Screen during Easter
Who doesn’t like sitting down with a tub of popcorn and/or pic n mix and watch a good film? Well if the weather isn’t all that cracking, then a trip to the cinema isn’t a bad idea. Okay, it might not be the cheapest option we can offer you but it’s one to have a think about. There’s a couple of family friendly films showing during the Bank Holiday weekend like Peter Rabbit and A Wrinkle in Time.
Footy footy footy!
I’d like to start by saying sorry to those of you reading this that aren’t football fans. If you’ve not had enough of it by now, the World Cup is only a few months away too. So, you’ve got permission to skip to the next option below. For those of you who like watching football, the Bank Holiday weekend is an opportunity to go and catch a game as well as getting comfy in your armchair and watch the action on TV.
Now, obviously these aren’t the only things you can do over the weekend. There’s a lot more you can get up to over Easter. But, let’s hope the sun is shining and you can have a fun-filled Bank Holiday, if you’re with the family, with friends and just taking it easy on your own.
